man, this x1950pro is crazy. it runs now with cat 6.9 but when i restart it says new hardware detected but i installed drivers. i installed once before and they were installed but the comp didnt think i had a vid card installed. it runs aq3 and css but worse than my x1800gto. and 3dmark05 crashes.

this thing is wierd.

it is either my card, the psu or windows has some errors.

yeah, its refurb so i think id have to pay restocking fee from the egg.

this was in my price range and should have been a nice card, i think im gonna troubleshoot a bit more. the 7900gs is a nice card for a nice price but i dont really like nvidia.

My Sapphire X1950Pro works just fine using the latest Catalyst. Maybe you have a crappy one.
Just RMA the thing and get a new one. You wont be disappointed

Dont choose the darkside!

Ok here's my problem I bought an EAX1950 Pro (slave)card of Asus a few weeks ago, It keeps flickering in windows, during games, whatever. I have a 650W Coolermaster PSU so that's ok I guess. I do have a TFT monitor. On ati.amd.com I saw something about DVI on TFT monitors and REfreshrates. I pulled my RR down and still have the same problem. But however, I just put my dvi-vga converter on it, and the problem is gone, I haven't seen any flicker since. ANyway, I wanna solve the DVI problem. does anyone have an idea?
