Safe voltages/ temps on a 7970?

Hey guys. I have a pair of 7970s Running at 1125/1575 (maxed Afterburner) at 1231mV. When Mining I sit right between 95 and 96 C (working on getting the cash for waterblocks) and when running unigen I go from 90 -101. I was wondering if those temps and voltages are safe for the cards or if I am killing the things. Thanks guys!

Well personally I dont like over 8x on graphic card but, they can handle it 1xx.

I would lower the clocks a bit or just use one for time being until you get water blocks. Volts are fine afterburner still has a safe voltage cap.

is it 95c on GPU core ? then you already have or are going to damage the card. get the core temps to 75c - 80c. either reduce the clocks or get a better cooling solution. for the time being you could remove the stock cooler and apply a better TIM.

the question is have you tried it on stock volts ?? I have seen many 7950 (not 7970) do 1150 on stock volts. Have you stressed it with small bumps if necessary when you overclocked them ???

No, thats too high. Try undervolting. My 7950 does 1200 at just 1.044v when mining. At 58% fan it doesnt go over 61c

Until you get your blocks reduce your clocks or raise fan profiles because the temps your are hitting are nearing thermal limits.

If I remember mining does not need the memory speed at all so drop the mem speed to as low as it can possibly go to save on heat.

I had this issue a few days ago when I got my 2nd 7970. The case was ridiculously unsuitable with no airflow. I upgraded to a coolermaster haf x and now 75deg at 1100/1550 is the highest I get in games.
I would be really interested to know what are safe temps tho as he cards have built in throttling to reduce heat so Id assume that would kick in to save the cards.

I got it to stock plus about 0.005 volts to fix a freeze problem and run borderlands 2 on my 3 monitor setup at about 82 is that safer?

My current fan profile is somewhat aggressive scaling close to temp+10%. Should I go for a more aggressive one or will the be okay? Also, Would reseating the heatsink help the temps?
