Please help me choose between Mionix Naos 8200, ROCCAT Kone XTD and Gigabyte Krypton for FPS

Hello!
I have a MX518 and I want to upgrade to one of those 3 but wow the more I read the more confused I get.
So far I have only seeing the Kone advertised as having no prediction. I like all those 3 because of the performance and also looks.

I am right handed btw. My mat is a SteelSeries SP and one user did comment that the Gigabyte seem to had issues with a hard pad he tried but I did not get any more feedback regarding that issue.

Right now, the one that catches my eye the most is the Kone XTD because it seems to have the best support and more professional look and design followed by the Naos 8200.
The gigabyte looks really cool and the weights, etc are very nice too but somehow going to its web page seems very lacking and does not inspire confidence of a well supported product in case you need updates.
Those are simple observations which can be wrong of course so maybe some of you can comment about them.

Thanks!

I would say the Mionix or the Roccat. The Mionix has a place for you to rest your outer 2 fingers where as the Roccat does not. This is all personal preference as to wether you want those fingers resting or not. Personally I would choose the Mionix or the R.A.T. I think the R.A.T. is one of the most comfortable gaming mice I have used because it can be adjusted. The pinky rest on the R.A.T. (not included with all R.A.T. mice) is the main reason I say this.

Anyways good luck on your purchase and I would recommend buying from a place that is easy for you to return to. If you can't figure out for sure which one you want then buy both and return the other.

Why not go for a Logitech g400 which is the actual successor to the mx 518, you can't go wrong with that mouse.

I actually thought about the RAT before but the sensor it is using from my research is supposed to be inferior to the others listed here, so I skipped it but it sure grabbed my attention when I first say the RAT7! smile.gif
So I saw many videos and read lots of info yesterday and it looks like the Roccat ad the Mionix are in the lead with the Gigabyte now falling behind.
Basically the Roccat just looks stunning from a performance and "looks" view. I am trying to recall what cons I see in it but I watched so many videos that now I forgot lol
Oh yes, no buttons on the right side which I though might come in handy, that was the only thing I didnt like.
The software looks sharp and comprehensive.

The Mionix, the faults are only 3 DPI settings which I guess one can work around. Also no buttons on the right side but I guess me being right handed that is not a real issue as it will be a bit odd pressing those I think.
Is nice to have that right resting place...looks very comfy.
Also the surface analyzer is an interesting addition but not sure how useful it is versus gimmicky.

The Gigabyte well, I am looking at it and it seems to have so many good things, dual chassis, buttons on either side, fancy looks too, same sensor as the others, yet, it has been out for a while and you can barely find detailed reviews about it unlike the others which seem to have more of a following. I guess some companies are known as mice companies unlike Gigabyte which does so many things so maybe that is part of the lack of acceptance. I really cant see much I dont like about it other than that.

So right now I have the Roccat 1st followed closely by the Mionix.
I must decide today as I have a 3 day weekend coming up so I am hoping to get it by Thursday or Friday for some intense gaming! biggrin.gif

My vote goes to the G400 too; it has a 1:1 tracking ratio and no angle snapping on its latest released version.

The DeathAdder 2013 (4G) might be a good choice.

Did you make a decision? I want to know how you feel about the grip. My original G7 non x has a defective right button and although it was extremely comfortable I want something else. So I may wait see what you do and see how you like these. I bought a Level 10 M 8200DPI because it was on newegg for $50 but I am not happy with it. I am going to keep it because you can't beet $50 but there is just no place for my thumb or pinky to grab onto without hitting buttons. Also it doesn't adjust enough tilt wise. The height adjustment is nice but not the tilt.

Let us know how you like whatever you go with. I may still get the RAT because of the pinky plate as the way it holds in my hand is more important than its sensor. Also the buttons are important and the Level 10 M has a ton of useless ones.

Should be here Thursday and I will comment back. smile.gif
