Buying XSPC 240 system <-- i need your help!!!

Thread Starter
I bought and cancelled the thermaltake Level 10 GT LCS

why? because i can get the bigwater 850 gt for 130$ and the thermaltake level 10 gt for 180$

thats 310$, i payed 369+tax 39x for the set...

i dont think that 90 was worth some led's

i also dont think the big water 850 gt is worth 130$ seperate or 150$+ bunched as a combo, 500 L/hr ? aluminum radiator+copper cpu block?

well im screwed on 48hour shipping or cancellation and i hope they cancel my order instead of ship it, then i have to refuse the package and wait even longer if they dont cancel it which is going to be a pain................. tigerdirect online <-- never buy from them, they are trash when it comes to cancelling, upgrading shipping, or placing any type of order thats from a "3rd party warehouse"

So my question is, which XSPC will perform how i want, i really wanted something that i can adjust fan speeds and it seems these are preset? RS/EX/RX ?
i dont want to get a low rpm fan system and then im playing some games or mass loading the cpu and i cant keep the system as cool as i want

im going to get the level 10gt for 180$ since i did like the case and found all of its features awesome

I returned the Coolermaster 932 and Corsair h100 thinking the low noise in my case was the water pump, it is my thermtaltake 750 tr2 power supply. its such a fant noise but i figured it was the h100

Regardless, i payed 130$ for that h100 which was on sale for $80 the next day, to me paying 140$ on a water cooling system is an investment, paying 130$ on a close loop 1 CPU cooling "system" is throwing my money away

please help me out, seems this forum is the place to be for water cooling and i really need your help, opinions, and advice.

will buying a kit be cheaper than buying all the parts seperate? im trying to stay in budget, and i just want something to perform

was doing <<60*C with a Corsair H100

im really looking for a water kit that i can set to LOW for less noise when im away from the desk and HIGH when the cpu is getting slammed with 50%+CPU 80%+RAM usage

If you are just doing the CPU, the Rx240 would do really good for you. Were you not able to adjust the H100 via the button on the block? In any case the quality, performance and expansion possibilities of the RX240 are worth the upgrade. Especially since it sounds like you push your machine.

i was, but who wants to pay $130 for a closed loop system that you can't expand when you can buy a real water cooling system for $130 that you can expand.

should i get the LOW fan RPM XSPC and add some high rpm fans to it? would that increase performance? or is there an XSPC that allows me to control fan speeds

i know the big water 850gt might suck in terms or L/hr, aluminum+copper, and complaints left and right but at least you can adjust from low to high, im wondering if i can do that with the XSPC

i dont want a kit that only runs at one speed frown.gif

ty for posting! need more help guys !!!!

So after a bit of reading

it's just the radiator size, so obviously if i get the RS it will be a smaller radiator which requires higher rpm fans to keep cool

therefore I can get a RX240 have a bigger radiator, install higher rpm fans and keep my system even more cooler?

I'm just trying to research if the RX240 with fans on it will fit in the Thermaltake Level 10 GT

http://img848.imageshack.us/img848/1096/img2012042400353.jpg - doesnt look like ill fit a RX240 with fans in the case frown.gif

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/808/img2012042400357.jpg/ nevermind so it doesnt look safe but looks doable smile.gif

do you think the radiator being so large and next to the motherboard it will cause a heating issue with the motherboard?

edit- what you guys think RS240 with 4 fans pushpull or RX240 huge radiator with 2 fans?

Since you said you wanted low noise stick with the RX. 4 high speed fans are going to make some wind...

i just dont like this kit being non adjustable

i wanted something i can set to low when afk, and to high when im using the computer and adding a massive load to the cpu/ram

anyone else can help? seems im at the right place but noone cares about a noob

If you want to control fan speed, you need a fan controller with auto mode (adjust fan speed according to temp). If you want silent operation, get RX series radiator.
