Yeah, that is the plan eventually. But I don't want to have to reinstall my OS and stuff.

I cannot use any mouse with my weird grip and I have been planning on getting a G500 eventually. Mechanical keyboard is on the list. As far as the cooler goes, I just need to delid my damn chip but I am too scared to do it.

For my application, things are good. I see no need to upgrade my monitor or my memory. Although, in the future, I do plan on going with a nice 30". catleap.

Not fast enough? First world problems right there.

Monitor and possibly an SSD is the only thing I could think of or would change if it was my rig.

I use to have the same monitor and upgraded to a BenQ XL2411T and couldn't be happier. Its not a cheap monitor but it seems you could afford it. A nice 1440p monitor is a good option too.

Cooling is also a good point if you want speed.

I'd upgrade that ram you got (get the cheapest g.skill 2400mhz 2x4gb kit from Newegg, 69usd)...
Or grab an evbot and mod that card of yours (?)

A Swiftech H220 might be nice too, but the best upgrade would be a syringe of coollaboratory liquid ultra and a gillette razor. You know

Too scared. I am happy with my chip right now.

Yea! UPGRADES FTW!!!

First is your sound card a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series Sound Card w/ I/O?

Another GTX 680 Classified
A 120 - 250GB SSD SATA 3 or a PCI-E SSD (OCZ?)
a Mechanical Keyboard
a cooler looking mouse
DDR3-1866 Ram (corsair vengeance gold if possible, it matches the mobo imo)
other os's (Linux, hackintosh, etc.) alongside windows 8 pro
and if that isnt your soundcard, a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD or Asus Xonar DX

And then theres always watercooling!!!

Everything in my sig rig I own and use daily.

Mouse - Keeping. I don't care about looks, I like functiionality. This mouse I have had for 4 years now, going on 5 and I love it. Until it breaks, I am not going to stop using it.
For my SSD, I plan on getting a 256GB Samsun 840 Pro, but that will have to wait as my wallet has holes in it. Same for the 680.
My ram works fine, and for what I do, I will not see any performance increase from going with what I got now.
As far as my OS goes, once I get my bigger SSD, Ubuntu or Fedora (most likely Fedora) will be going back on the machine in a dual boot.

BTW, my sound setup is X-Fi Champion w/ Modded drivers (PAX) and MP3 320 (converted from FLAC) > Objective 2 > Q701. Good 600 bucks there

I may go with a mechanical keyboard, but I am VERY picky with my keyboards and mice, so it will be a long process to decide what I want. I know the mouse I will get in the future is going to be a G500 or something simliar. Right now I am moaning.

We have a club on here that would be willing to help with the mechanical keyboard selection.
