well i cant say im "new" but im new to the desktop style pc gaming and had a few questions and thought i ask here of all places i have a large collection of pc games and i play a few different MMO and i play 2-3 fps games on steam but i use my laptop that i got about a year ago but now that im going to start desktop gaming i have a few questions
1. well first off i game using my pinky on the a key instead of for shift and ctrl and was wondering how i could train myself for the other way?
2. what would be a good mouse and keyboard to buy i was looking at the rat 7 wired or the rat 9 wireless mouse are there any suggestions?
3. i have been hearing about mechanical keyboards and how there better for pc gaming well i have an idea which i wanna go with there is a corsair that i seen i want to get but im not looking to go really expensive i think 150$ is my limit for a keyboard well i was looking at the orbweaver instead too since i already have a keyboard i dont mind and am use to using it
i was thinking of using the orbweaver and the rat 7 combo but that was more for a using for laptop and my desktop too i have a strange style of gameplay im sorry in advance for any misspellings. im typing this on almost no sleep for about 24 hours. i just thought i ask you people cause usually theres a lot of good advice on here and i tried looking for help for the whole hand position thing but i was not able to find anything thanks in advance! thumb.gif

Woah, wall of text, to get more people answering you might want to split it up a bit so it's less intimidating. tongue.gif

Firstly, the best way to train yourself to use WASD properly is to start using WASD properly. That's it. If you keep playing with it you'll eventually get used to it.

For the mouse, I suggest looking around the mice section of the site first, you'll need to learn a bit about mice i.e. DPI, grips, surfaces etc before anyone can recommend you a really good one. I personally had the R.A.T. 7 but got tired of it after a while because although it's very customisable, no one configuration was perfect for me and I bought the Mionix Naos 5000 to replace it (great mouse so far).

As for mechanical keyboards, as with the mice, before we can recommend the best keyboard for your needs you should really learn a bit more about them, the mechanical keyboard guide is a good place to start, there are lots of options with what switches you want (different switches under each keycap alter the feeling of typing or gaming on it) aswell as what size (full size, TKL etc), backlighting and so on.

As for using a gamepad like the Orbweaver, it's personaly preference, personally I wouldn't like gaming with MX Blue switches but to each their own.

I think I've answered everything, hope this helped. smile.gif

use whatever rfinger that comfort for you biggrin.gif

asdw, normally and should by, index, middle, and little/ring finger...
for mouse depends on what from comfort for you best....claw/fingertips where your palm/palm-near finter not in touch with mouse , so i recommend you go with ambidex mice....
all brands about the same, (for me i feel most suits me steel series xai/sensei

or for palm(where your palms gets in touch with mouse) lot of variety of mice here....

and mechanical is recommended if you are kind of messy, the dust not directyl affecting keystrokes on mecha compared to rubber based....
and they gonna produce sound when you strokes, blue got the most, with it's clicky sound...
if you like to use power to stroke then it's black switch....
(i like blue and brown switch)

is possible get mecha with multimedia function, it helps ^^
