look really nice with the red light .

i paid about a 100 bucks for a new 3000 with the attachement for fine job and 25 tools in a hard box.
it work not so bad but it not a magic wand either biggrin.gif the cutting part work better then the grinding i think.
the good point is the not bending the metal sheet , it sure work clean. i can see why it s essential to work inside the case but it stil less efficient then jigsaw or a file.
the polishing side of it is cool too.

i make the money back on pc hardware which is cheaper then rest of EU. i live a few miles from france border too , so if i had the courage i could go in a french hardware store , since it s 10x bigger as a country i m sure i can find better price because of competition on the hardware store sector.
yep it already helped me a lot because my hand were becoming too sore to continue filing tongue.gif
i don't like buying tools on the net because i like to have a good warranty , if you have a problems you go there and get another one directly,....

do you know if i can paint on the original black paint or it wont work at all ? i want to do the pcie cover blue too but i really dont want to sand them ,....

Yea you can do it, but there are a few tricks. I do suggest sanding but weather you do or not these tips will help:

1st: But quality spray paint, most high gloss spray paint is runny and not good for this. I have found the best type is automotive tough up spray paint. You will know when you have the good stuff becuaue it will stick and blend evenly....

2nd: BAKE! If you can I suggest Baking the part, you can do this different ways, the best for me is in a conventional oven @170 degrees for like 5 mins then leave them in the oven till cooled. As a alternative you can use a heat gun, I usually do this for big parts that cannot fit in the oven.

BTW: If you do sand use 800 grit and it takes like 15 minutes! just sand until you see chalky white dust all over! You dont need to sand to the metal! thumb.gif

for the paint i use some sort of architectural spay paint for all material that i varnish after with the same type of spay.
it work not too bad but it s not as scratch resistant as original paint, i m quiet happy with the result on my back panel but it s was from bare metal ,....
i know baking would make it better but it s too big for my oven and with the varnish i think it will be enough .
i guess i will have to sand them, i will keep that for the end then because my hands are killing me already tongue.gif
