Nice ideas...I recently modded my psu by removing spare molex and sata wires.
I think I feel confident enough to sleeve the cables from the psu with this splice method.
Thanks man!

I FINALLY got to test my rig last night, 3 nights after the original plan. My WD Black 1 TB drive I was using as my main drive... Decided to be not so "S.M.A.R.T." and started failing. biggrin.gif Ordered an SSD Tuesday, got it in yesterday, and ran benchmarks last night. So... These are my benchmarks, all at stock for the 7870XT.

Unigine Heaven Extreme Preset

3D Mark 11

Don't know how these actually look, but the card runs Ultra on WoW at avg 60 fps+ in open world. Testing more games tonight. thumb.gif

Overclock it and disable tesselation (don't use application settings) in catalyst 3d settings, and re run 3dm11 performance bench. You should be around 9k with a 4.8ghz cpu and 2133mhz cl9 ram.

Yes and no, it will sence that the pump is not working correctly and may disable the RGB LED and change it to a constannt RED Glow, but it will still report tempature. I suggest removing the pump head and the whole PCB asymbally. Install your own RGB Led and wire the exsisting tempature node(its in the block) to a aftermarket usb temp node or the corsair link kit you can buy! thumb.gif

Will be a bit before I can upgrade it further. Just dropped 200 bucks on an SSD. biggrin.gif I do plan on putting some aftermarket cooling in later though.
