whats the best air cooler - Page 2

Can't find detailed specs on your case, but the NH-D14 is 160mm in height, so you'd just need to measure how much room you have.

That's like asking which is better, Lead or Gold. wink.gif

Here'a a couple of Aussie suppliers.

Kinda looks like Nan's is better prices. Thermalright are very good coolers. Do make sure you have room for whatever you decide. Silver Arrow SB-E Extreme has much faster fans so will out-cool Silver Arrow SB-E by about 8c if you can stand the noise.. but if you keep the fans below 1300rpm they sound the same.. and you can stay below 1300rpm wink.gif I'm running a i7 980 and it never goes above 50c at 1000rpm.

hey what do u think of the FRIO OCK
OK cooler with fans that are way too loud.

If you want quality stuff then check coolers from Thermalright (Archon/Silver Arrow), Prolimatech (Genesis), Phanteks (14PE), Noctua (D14), NZXT (Havik 140)

or should i just keep the h60 and change the fans on it
post #18 of 119
In my opinion stick with the H60 you have, I don't see the point of getting a $90 cooler for your $100 processor. Of course you can always just transfer the heatsink to a newer processor if you get one, but I would just stick with the H60.

If you really want a new cooler, get the Noctua.
