It should be in your BIOS, it's called the (agp/pci-e?) apparture size. XP does this too, just doesn't tell you about it lol.

It is recommened to have this at Half the RAM on your card, so it would be best to go into your BIOS and turn it down to 128 and reclaim a little extra ram for your system. Or you could disable it alltogether.

If everything works fine I would not worry about it. It will only use shared ram if the GFX ram gets full, which I doubt it will.

The number vista gives you should be your video card's memory + the apparture size. See how it lists dedicated video memory as 256 mb ? Vista does seem to be reporting your apparutre size @ 256mb however.

Unfourtunatly, Changing this probally will have no effect on the game you were trying to play, as this setting was set it the BIOS and has been in effect on your computer since you built it.

Looks to me thats the Aperture size also. However in the BIOS it may also be seen as ''Shared memory'' For Either just set it to 0. You wont see an affect on performance realy.

Thats prett poor. You would think if such things occur is XP they would get it sorted now. Vista is understandable as Drivers are still a little shabby still.
