that would be pretty slick. i wouldn't doubt it, samsung has already done demos with retina laptop prototypes and google and samsung have a close relationship, samsung manufactures existing chromebooks. they copied the look of a macbook very closely

I can definitely tell a difference from a Macbook and this concept. Macbooks have the rounded corners, and just aren't as square.

I don't understand why Google would do this. The whole point of Chromebooks are to be cheap. I feel this would just cost to much money for them to think about doing.

Awesome. So now I can have more smudges on my laptop screen.

Google you're pathetic.

this isn't a real laptop. it's a concept of what someone would like to see in a google chrome laptop.

Pfft don't be so naive. You and I know damn well over the past year nearly all top of the line laptops have been clones of MBP laptop line. Its a shame seeing how weak the innovation from the PC camp is these days. Its not so surprising to see Google follow suit. Apple under Jobs was one of the best companies ever that constantly pushes the boundaries of technology. This is just weak sauce at best.

Oh god no they made a laptop that is silver in color! What a bunch of copy cats.
Can we stop being a bunch of sheep believing Apple invented everything people make. There has been laptops similar to the Macbook's for years and suddenly Apple invented everything. Oh no, high definition display, Apple invented it! Burn the heathens. They put a higher definition display in it! Apple did it first! Get the pitch forks.

Seriously? Nobody complained when we went from 1366x768 screens to 1920x1080 screens that other companies were copying another because they did it first.

I would hope Google can keep the price on these rather low as that's the main selling point of a Chromebook.
