Random crash

Was just playing a nice friendly game of LoL, when my headset made a weird funny sound, my monitor turned all pixellated and orange then brown then green and then went completely black. Not sure what could have caused this issue but it happened once before when I had my cpu overclocked and seemed to fix the issue when i returned everything to normal setting.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

My gpu isnt even a year old and it cost $300 so I hope its not the problem.

Sounds a lot like gpu overheating. Use gpu-z and see what kind of gpu temps are you getting under load?

Ping it to 100% for a bit until temps round out. Use something like furmark

If not gpu, maybe check for bios updates for mobo, or check the integrity of the game itself.
