Working on the review at the moment. Saw nobody had started the Official Dead Space 3 Fan, Info & Screen shot thread. Going to ask for "official" status once we gain momentum.

Feel free to hop on here, I will be trying to get things going, namely have about 60GB of screenshots to go through and I have just completed my first play through of this one.

Ask any questions here, game related, use spoilers for story/plot content related questions of course.

I have all 3 games on PC, so my technical troubleshooting knowledge is limited to that side.

Loving Dead Space 3 so far, I platinumed the first two on PS3 and got DS3 for PC since it's the first DS game to come out while I had a gaming PC.
Love playing it maxed out at 60 fps

Welcome to the PC side at least!

Yeah, I have to admit, with the exception of a few random textures, this has to be one of the most intricately detailed games I have seen in a very a long time. The game was outstandingly beautiful.

Hi, New here and thought I would drop my first post to what interests me most.

I wanted to try a new game to try the GTX 690 and Dead Space 3 was a good start to impressing me.
I'm 16% into the game and so far, I'm enjoying it considering the two previous versions were a great way to take you into the storyline.
With the updated graphics, the game is way more intense. I'll post more as I get further into it.

I wonder if I could ask a question while I'm here.,
I will eventually post a thread or look one up that has information on this.

Is it possible to use the Video Card to make a game span across 3 monitors.
I currently use SoftTH to start DeadSpace 1 and 2 across 3 x 30" HP's and it works great,

However,... with the download of DS3 from Origin, it doesn't seem to allow me to start the game with SoftTH. I guess it's that cloud thing.

I'm used to installing games from DVD's, maybe it was a mistake to download.

It very well maybe possible but I am not sure what SoftTH is. Nvidia surround not an option?

You may need a game fix for dead space 3 or a no-cd executable that bypasses stuff like clouds, drm, or cd checking. You will have to get more information else where as that stuff is prohibited on this forum.

I loved Dead Space 3. Overall its much better than both the series.

It brings some of the horror elements from 1, and the plot picks up way better than 2. Though the horror (or jump scare) and difficulty factor it achieves by forcing us in cramped areas. For example, the first room we encounter the necrochildren in DS2 its a huge lobby, and in DS3 its one small room. I got cornered way too many times, but I and my gaming strategies are at fault too. One remarkable thing I experienced was that in the first playthrough, switching out the plasma cutter made the game easier. Though I made a destructive weapon out of it later.
Also I loaded up DS1 on my hard drive to revisit it again, but the mouse movement is weird. Like Issac is aiming around very slowly, and turning up sensitivity to max doesn't help.

Made a few videos in the Weapon test area around different weapons. Totally love crafting different things.
A small playlist here if anyone wishes to watch.

And I wish other people share their builds as well!

they pile the hurt on pretty quick in 3. I really enjoy the combat, the movement is fluid, the weapon options are ENORMOUS and its incredibly fast paced. Throughout most of the previous games, i could stand in place and kill most things coming my way... this game forces you to move, constantly.

I think the people avoiding the game because of the direction its going, are really missing out on a great piece to the Dead Space story... even the micro-transactions are trivial, i am constantly buying the epic weapons pack with the seals i come across...

My quick take on the game is the fact that it is more action oriented, my review will cover the transition, however at this point in Isaac's storyline, I think it makes more sense. A combat hardened Isaac, with powerful suits, weapons & upgrades, would more than likely have destroyed the first game part of the story with ease.

I am trying to make it work with Visceral Studios doing an outstanding prior work, relatively glitch free, improving upon PC controls to a natural state, and developing the engine to have AA this time around.

However, this game is not a Survival Horror any more, it has the feel of EA's production pushing, and should now be considered an Action Horror Coop, the mood has definitely changed.

I'm considering writing a review on OCN, considering that I disagree with the current review's rating

It is a place a holder for now (I score up each part individually.) I don't mind with the disagreements though. My review will just be my opinion essentially. I will be fair though.

I think the harsh reviews online are total crap though. They have valid criticisms / points, but they are so negative you would think there is nothing good about the game. I am a total Dead Space fanboy, so I keep that in mind when I am writing the review trying to be balanced.
