It's cool the Titan is coming out soon for sure, but I always think it's funny when people start saying "Please let this card be no more than [Insert an insane amount of money here]"!!!! as if they're actually going to purchase the video card if it costs $900 or less.

Sure, a lot of us are enthusiasts, but how many of us have 7990's or GTX 690's? And how many of us REALLY drop $900 on a video card? I've built over 50 custom systems in the past 5 years and the I think the most I have ever spent on GPU's is about $350.

I'm dumb enough to consider it arrowheadsmiley.png

Which means I should probably buy a 1440P monitor, which is probably another $700 minimum, and new cpu/gpu (another $900) and hell another $350 for the 900D.

Which means I'm gonna have to spend ~$3000+ tax arrowheadsmiley.pngarrowheadsmiley.pngarrowheadsmiley.pngarrowheadsmiley.pngarrowheadsmiley.png

I did not say it is becoming outdated. I was saying that those who desire highest performance will be selling their GTX680s. If you try hard enough you can find a used GTX680 for around $340 or 7970 for less than $300.

I don't think the GTX 680's will become outdated with the Titan release. They're going to be at completely different price points and from what I have seen, the Titan cards are expected to be a somewhat limited release. If anything i'd think they'd replace the GTX 690 with the Titan.
