Has anyone ever purchased something that is limited to 1 per customer?

Do I need to use 2 separate credit cards or just 2 separate addresses/accounts?

Gotta hope my tax return gets here before Titan does or they'll sell out before I can buy one.

That happens all the time on sales/deals and I don't see this being much different. Usually it's "Per household"

That said I am sure people will get two at a time from some retailers...

and your statement about the 680 is also hard to believe. 1440p, 32xaa, max out every game? i doubt it. unless we are talking about low fps here.
I don't see how you can't max out every game with a 580? Yes i have BF3, Crysis 2, Skyrim(though not demanding). Now when I say maxed, i guess i wasn't being fair. Maxed without AA or low AA. But still i'd like you to show me a game where the 580 SC can't max out a game without AA or eve with AA? at 1080p?

Edit: furthermore i looked it up and found a link:
http://www.geforce.com/optimize/optimal-game-settings/Battlefield-3-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-580-OPS
straight from nvidia's site. These are with crappier drivers, No OC and 2gb ram. Tell me how you can't max out BF3 or other games?

1080p isn't really much of a challenge nowadays, go to 1440p+ and even top tier cards now have an issue with 60fps

With today's great 2 card scaling adding another 680 for 450.00 would give you 95% better performace then a single 680. That's 40-45% more performace for the same price as the Titan. That's all people are saying. And these so called problems with Sli is a myth. At least with the last two generations especially for Nvidia. I've had zero problems with my current 690 and the same for my 580 sli I had before. Maybe if your playing games from 2005 but most all newer games scale wonderfully. I've yet to see any micro-stutter issues either. Again this is only speaking with Nvidia. I have no experience with Amd.

Understood and I am not saying that you could or couldn't out perform this card with 2 680s at a lower cost. But you can't have 8 680s which would be needed to compete with 4 of these cards. Also you are right usually there is no issue with 2 cards in SLI/CF but when you get to 4 gpus you can see a lot of negative performance issues. I myself have 2 5970s and have to disable 1 card for a lot of games because of issues with 4 gpus not performing as well as 2.

But honestly, I've been building systems for about 5 years and JUST recently I had the revelation that I didn't need all this overkill hardware. So I did a significant downgrade from my Core i7 3820, HD 7970, 32GB, Water cooled rig to the basic Trinity rig I have now.

I definitely wouldn't mind an overkill rig though tongue.gif I just can't justify running one for the things I do. I sure as hell cant justify spending college loan money on system parts either.

I wish I had a friend like you back in Decemeber when I went overkill on my rig so you could have talked me out of it. lol I could have saved myself at least 800. At least I already watercooled my rig. I'm hoping my rig will live at least for 4-5 years. At least I'm gaming at 1440p. But hearing about the Titan is making me drool.gif

Yea what I was thinking. Just wondering if I need to transfer money to the GFs bank so I can have 2 seperate billin addresses. We live in the same household but still have 2 seperate billing addresses.

Will be waiting for the next gen of "small keplers" to smoke it in games, and then I and will be buying 3-4 of these to work in VRay RT GPU (which hopefully will have vast improvements over the next 1-1.5 years this "idea" spans). So plz ppl, buy them in bulk. I have patience. biggrin.gif
