As I said in another thread, people at 1080P have no reason at all to even look at Titan, it is just a temptress and should be avoided!

Those of us at higher res.....different story.

Yea, I know, just trying to be optimistic lol.. Anything more expensive than $1000 CAD and I'll just hang on to my 680s.

How well did the 690 do with supply vs demand? I know the 680s were hard to come by for a while after launch but I don't ever really remember the 690s being 'hard' to get.

Maybe $1000 is the barrier for most people for a single card biggrin.gif

Those will be harder to get as they are leaking chips being re-marketed in the ultra high end.

So is this the 7xx cards or not? I'm still confused.

Performance - Faster or slower than a Dual-GPU GTX 690? HD 7990?
If you decide to use this card for GPGPU, for example password cracking, this card should be able to beat the K20 and K20X without breaking a sweat. The company castrated the Double Precision, and you can expect great Single Precision performance (2,688 CUDA cores times 875 MHz should result in around 4.5 TFLOPS SP from a single chip). Double-precision follows the Kepler tradition of 1/24 Single Precision performance. Yes, 4.7 TFLOPS SP and 196 GFLOPS DP, nicely protecting Tesla K20/K20X and the upcoming Quadro K6000 products.

That's from here.

The last sentence would be a shame if true, 196GFLOPS DP isn't great, isn't that 580 level? I know it's to be expected with the previous iterations, It's just so very far way from the epic K20X's 1.31TFLOPS.

No one knows solid what nv is up to but my guess this and the 700 series will be the answer to crysis 3 and hopefully we see the 700s roll soon..I just dont see them releasing titan then waiting till the end of the year or even to long of the time knowing people wanna upgrade gpus
post #208 of 999
This wont be 7xx since that will be based on the gk114 for the "high" end
post #209 of 999
the reason why the titan is called titan and not 780 is because it's not 780, as simple as that.
