That's quite a gap, or is what is on top in the insert the revised (edited) latest stat. If so that's amazing. I loved how the 690 looks though I've never seen or owned one.

Man, this could hurt but going to guess $800-900 for it.

Edit. Was talking to a friend of mine who's into this stuff too and he still feels this card would be slapped sideways all day long by AMD's compute. Now do you think that would be true? For folding, more than likely not. But do you think we'll just see a "record-breaking" level of compute ability in line with the best Nvidia cards prior or could this card actually compare to a Radeon in some aspects?

Correct, unfortunately... The post a couple above this one seems to be the second source to confirm a less-than-expected compute performance. In line with the average performance bump when going from 680 to Titan. But nothing remarkable.

Thanks but even that thread still has some unsure numbers. Oh well, even if it's only an Nvidia step up, it's still better thann nothing. Thanks, DPH.

No problem at all smile.gif

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm slightly disappointed as well, but I kind of figured it would be like this. Nvidia seems to have concentrated on gaming performance again, which is what I'll be doing with this card 99% of the time anyways, so I'm ok with it I guess.

Are you going to finish that condescending statement, or is that as far as your brain power takes you?

Obviously Titan is going to be an epeen card. I don't see anything wrong with admitting that...
I'm happy to let my epeen shrink for a while.
Hopefully 770s will be out before July and I'll just get 2 of them.
(Although I would prefer 780s but I am unsure if my 850w PSU will cut it)

Will still be a massive upgrade on the single GTX 580 3GB I have now.

I don't think the 7xx-series will be available before Christmas I'm afraid...
