I will. I did too much partying in my earlier days cheers.gif

On second thought...naw, I'd rather have a Titan than functioning organs.

I hope to god they are making more than 10,000 of these things. I also hope this comes in at $799 and not $899, if it is truly only 50% above a 680 and 7970 in performance.

They are basing it off Transistor count, not the actual dimensions of the chip.

I think their are going to be a lot of sad faces when Titan hits the market. Titan in full form as Tesla is a 2k gpu. There is a premium for having 6gb of vram. Just look at the Sapphire 7970 6gb. It goes for 700 all day long from many different vendors. Thats 250 increase over a regular 3gb 7970. It may not be as fast as a 1k gtx690 but a 690 doesn't have 6gb or vram. If this thing comes within 10-15% of a 690 all on a single gpu with 6gb vram you can expect not a cent less then a 1000 dollar price tag. Hell my Asus gtx690 I bought 7 weeks ago was 1100. Add in its a very limited special addition card made of magnesium. Vendor's will jack the price up even more. If I had to guess I'd say starting prices will be around 1100 dollars. Making it too rich for most gamers blood.

I'm saving one of my kidneys for the HD8970 but for now I can only offer you my liver, take it or leave.

I was obviously kidding, you don't need to harass me for making a joke. I wasn't making fun of the fact that people are excited for a good card to come out, I was joking about how people who already have gtx 680s are going to buy it

True. But it may have 6GBs VRAM specifically to compete with this 6GB 7970. I mean, it'll obviously perform better, but I mean as far as VRAM goes. If someone's looking for a card with the most VRAM, now there would be 2 with 6GB cards instead of one. Titan will cost more than that 7970 but hopefully not too much more, as maybe Nvidia is trying to gain back the ultra-HD/surround crowd. Now someone has a choice between the two, and hopefully Nvidia doesn't price themself out of competition with it.

They released the 680 cheaper than the 7970, so maybe they'll stay somewhat competitive again and not give us a $1,100 Titan. *fingers crossed*
