I'm such a retard!! Why am I dumb enough to even consider this? I have an i7 920 @ 4.2Ghz and I'm only running 1080P @ 60hz.......

If I bought this then I'd have to get spend ~$1000 and get a 3930K + mobo so it doesn't bottleneck the card and seeing as how this is wasted on 1080P I'd have to get a 1440P monitor which will run me another $700 at least..

And after all this only one Titan probably wouldn't be enough to get me good FPS at 1440P. Damn this is such a lose lose situation.....

I've always found it odd when I see people with 6xx/7xxx series video cards running their good ol' Q6600. Sure, the Q6600 is still capable, BUT seriously people, upgrade your motherboard and processor and keep a balanced system!

The 920 is less of an issue. Despite it being about 4 years old now, it's still getting decent frames from our modern video cards. The Titan is probably a different story.

And I definitely would not consider the Titan unless I was running a multi-monitor 1440P setup. Cards like the GTX 660 and 7870 can tame even your most hardcore, graphically intensive games @ 1080P.

Yeah, I bet a 920 would run a single Titan just fine. More than one though may be a different story...

Titan is a lot better than the 690. Do you really think that they will sell this cheaper than the 690?

My GTX 580 is on par with a 660 and when overclocked it's faster and it still doesn't slay games. I'm looking for 60FPS mins here biggrin.gif

To me something still feels a little odd about this card, i just get that feeling. not sure why.
do we still think this is the high end card or mid range...i dont know what to think. I will just wait ans see.

Expect a 2 hour video from TTL.
I will totally watch it though. biggrin.gif
He got excited about the 680 and 690....should be interesting to see what his response is to the Mighty Titan is and i know he will do a Sli/Tri-Sli benchmarks.

Come next week, i will be very happy. GPU news and PS4 news. should be good.

lol, well I tried SLI before (GTX 590) and I didn't like the stuttering so I'm going to avoid it as much as I can.

So my 920 @ 4.2Ghz should be able to handle 1 Titan? I asked around before and people told me to upgrade..
