True, but it could be connected to the main heatsink through lines hidden under the shroud.

I don't see any real connection which would enable heat transfer not a vapor chamber for sure.

Most likely is that that portion of fins is connected underneath to the rest of the aluminium fins, increasing the heat load disspiated from the chip/VRMs. Also it may just serve as an aesthetic "plug" to keep the end closed.

Absolutely no idea.

If I had to guess I'd say as hard as 590 and 690 at launch. Meaning that if you're willing to wait for the launch you'll get them.
