That is something I was not aware of. I thought it was still something betting worked on. That Ud7 is looking quite nice right now.

Anyway, another Day went by and no word from Asus on my new board.

add another day to the list.

called asus support twice today.... First time on hold for 20min, got to an associate who had no idea what was what. I asked to get to a supervisor, on hold again for 35min. Someone picked up the phone, I heard voices in the background for a second and then the line hung up.

I Called again a few minutes later.....on hold for 5 minutes and got through to someone, I asked for a supervisor right away. On hold for 30minutes again, got through to a supervisor and explained the entire situation to her calmly and respectfully and explained how dissatisfied I was.... she then told me she had no idea what was up with my rma. she told me there was no notes in the system in regards to any of my previous calls. And that there are no notes about my motherboard being recieved even though FedEx said it was delivered and signed for 3 days ago. She put me on hold for another 10 minutes while she "checked their systems and tried to get a hold of someone in the repair dept" and got back to me saying that she left emails for some other rep. I was told that there was nothing they can do at this point in time as there are no records in their system. I politely thanked her for her time and asked that she or any supervisor call me as soon as they get a reply to the emails she set(assuming they were sent)

......I am outraged. No records of any of my previous calls? No records of my damaged product being recieved? And then told there is nothing they can do? What have all these people I talked to been doing?!?!

I honestly have nothing I can say. I am speechles and dumbfounded at this point. For a manufacturer like ASUS to run a business they way I have experienced is unbelievable. I can safely say that unless I get some sort of reconciliation to this situation that is nothing short spectacular or godly I am most likely finished with ASUS' products. Although their products are great and high quality I refuse to be treated the way I have been. Like a nobody. As stated, there is no such thing as a fullproof product, and just the thought of going through something like this again makes me cringe. I would rather spend my hard earned money with someone who apreciates my business and understands that customer loyalty is based not only off of their product, but them standing behind that product as well.

I have gotten the numbers to ASUS' corporate center in california and their customer care center. I will be calling those numbrs after work today to try and seek a solution. I hope I can find some sort answer as I really would not like to have to get the BBB involved.

Sent my laptop which i bricked by accidentally installing the wrong BIOS update, the retailer took over a month to send it over to Asus, but i got a brand new laptop back about a week after that for 0 euro.

Just thought I'd off-set the negativity in this thread.

E: Then again, this was Asus EU/Finland.

here is another update.

After getting nowhere on friday afternoon. I went to call the two numbers the supervisor at the indianna RMA location gave me. One number was a phoney, did not even work. The other was to the parts and accessories dept in california. Which was not able to help me.

Later friday night I get a call from George W. Which is the ASUS rep I originally spoke to when I first recieved me damamged motherboard back. During the course of our conversation he appologized numerous times and kept emphasizing that the way my rma has been handled thus far is not the way ASUS works and that he personally will do whatever he can to insure a smooth ride the rest of the way. And said that he will personally handle the case himself and that I won't have to worry about anyone else treating me poorly. I have to say that this is the only rep at ASUS I have spoken to that seems like he actually cares about the customer. And has a sincere concern for taking care of my needs and making sure I and satisfied. The friday conversation was ended with him heading to the repair dept himself and scouting for a good/new board to ship me.

He called me once more on saturday to fill me in with the situation and how everything looks. Asked me for more information and said he would call me again on monday.

As of now, I am feeling a tad better knowing that George has taken the matter into his own hands. And I apreciate him trying to do whatever he can to take care of my needs. Thank You George.

However, I still sit here with no motherboard. It has been several business days since ASUS has recieved my damaged board back and even longer since I shipped it out and called them to beign the crosshippment.

I will update again after I speak with the ASUS rep on monday.
