Their boards and cards surely are top notch. Some of the best available. No doubt about it, however their CS is virtually non existant.

Like I say, I sent a Nexus 7 to Asus RMA via certified mail and the thing has apparently disappeared. The postage company lists it as delivered and the Asus site lists it as not having been received.

I'm wondering what the consensus is on the customer service from Gigabyte? If GA has better service then that would be a difference maker for me as to where I get my next board. I've loved every Asus product I've bought, except for the Nexus tablet, but damn I hate dealing with bad customer service and watching my time and money go out the window.

Completely agreed. I love all of the Asus products I own. But this horrible customer support experience is what will make me think twice about purchasing another Asus product in the future.

asus RMA/CS is an absolute joke, Trash even. I stopped supporting asus after the many horrible RMA experiences. Took me almost 3 months to get my video card fixed and working correctly

Ouch. That's rough. But it goes to show how Asus treats their rma's and customers.


Anyhow, here is another update....I shipped the 2nd.damaged board on Monday morning as instructed by Dwayne. Emailed him the tracking number and let him know it was out. I called later on that evening to follow up and we spoke. Let him know once again that the board was out and asked about my next replacement and whether he checked it over himself as he sais he would. I got the following.

Yes, my replacement board is ready to go. However he claimed he did not have time to check it over himself but assured me that the repair dept supervisor looked everything over. I was not too pleased to hear that and asked about the circumstances and reminded him of what he had told me last time we spoke. He apologized again and told me not to worry. , At this point I just need a board and wasn't going to question further. I hope whoever checked it did his job properly this time.

Anyway, here I sit at Wednesday and I have not received any email about my next replacement being shipped yet. Not the most thrilled as I was told by Dwayne the next board will be ready to ship on Monday and will most likely be shipped Monday as soon as he gets my FedEx email. Keep in mind it took less that 24hrs for them to receive the board I sent.

Looks like I'm going to have to call again this morning once they open to hound them to get my $hit shipped.

I really find it odd how ASUS has made zero attempts to rectify their widely known piss-poor RMA experiences. I had a less-than-pleasurable RMA with them years ago, and, with all the other people who make posts like these, I honestly try to find an alternative manufacturer for whatever I'm looking for. MSI is actually my choice these days if at all possible. Their warranties and RMA department are awesome.

That's all well and good that your bottom line isn't suffering ASUS, but it's coming at the cost of customer loyalty. You need to watch it because other players in the industry are quickly rising.

I'm never buying Asus again after seeing all these horror stories lately. I used to swear by them and have owned countless ROG and high end boards of theres in the past, now it just seems like their customer service is appalling.

I am really surprised to read this thread. I always thought Asus support was great from what i have heard! I am glad fellow OC'ers pointed me in the direction of Gigabyte Boards for the new PC i just bought. Up until i changed, i always used Asus, i guess i am very lucky not to have had to RMA anything through them.

To the OP.... I am surprised you are staying reasonably calm throughout to be honest, i am a very laid back sort of person but if this would happen to me i would be going mental. Which is probably not the best way to be at all. Sometimes going mental will get you results, they will help more just to make you go away.

Edit - Are you paying for all the calls you are making to Asus or have you found a toll free number?

I have been having issues with them for 2 months now. Yesterday I finally got my 3rd Formula IV back and it works! I was so happy. I still don't think i'll ever buy a mobo from them again.
