I have the same board w/ a sempron processor. Feel free to ask any questions you like. There is a maximum FSB of 232 which limits what you can do with the board.

I suggest you DO NOT use the auto overclocking software. I destroyed three windows installs before I decided to work the overclocking manually.

does the MGP support most newer GPU's? I bought a X1600 Pro last weekend thats AGP 8X (My current rig is Socket 754, AMD 64 2800+ 512mb ram AGP8X) and I don't want to go return it and buy a different PCI-E card.. Thanks DruidsLaughter

I would guess that the MGP supports AGP 8X, but you would be better off getting a PCI-E card. From what I have seen the PCI-E x1600's are cheaper than the AGP ones. I wouldn't try to do much overclocking on that board, since it has a VIA chipset, but from what people have said about it, looks to be a stable board.

http://machspeed.com/tech/mgpslot.htm

This is the link to the AGP boards that are known to work. Nvida cards seem to do well in the AGP slot. This board does not like ATI for the mgp slot. I tried my 9600 All in Wonder in the agp slot and it did not work. ALL PCIe 16x cards should work in the PCIe slot.

Once you are up and running, make sure to lock down the PCI bus or you have problems right away when you OC.

One thing I like about Mach Speed is the tech support. They know their boards and are very patient and helpfull. I wish they made mobos that had more room to OC. I would buy one just knowing tech support was good if I needed it.

Glad you had a backup vid card. All of the latest drivers for the mobo are on the mach speed site. Very easy to find. Good Luck

I can get used to this, I REALLY see a difference between my 2800+ and the 3700+ (not to mention the 1mb of cache vs the 512) except for the front audio ports not reaching, and the leds in the front not working I like this build.. I'm probably going to end up cutting the LEDS out of the new fan because I sleep with it on, but meh its ok for now.. I can't believe the difference in weight between the 3700 and the 2800.. the things a brick! Luckly I had JUST enough AS5 left for the new CPU... and some for the floor.. my heatsink tipped over and landed AS5 side down Anyone know how to get rid of AS5 in carpet?

If all else fails, just return the card and get a PCI-E card. Returned the X1600 and got a 7600GT
