[BL] BF3 servers can't run PunkBuster - Page 7

Last night it took a whole 3 seconds to fix it and get playing again.

Go to network and sharing center
Click on your network go to properties
Click on internet protocol version 4
Click properties
Change settings to this\
Change your dns to 8.8.8.8 and the bottom one to 8.8.4.4

Looks like the dns fix is working for a lot of people. Unfortunately for me, I foolishly tried to uninstall/reinstall punkbuster before I realized their servers were down. So now I have no punkbuster on my computer, and no way of running pbsetup mad.gif. I really hope pb is back up when I get home from work because I'm screwed until it is. I guess I'm gonna be playing some more far cry 3.

People call out people even when they aren't hacking all the time. Hackusations are pretty annoying, I must say. If you don't see somebody glitching or blatantly cheating, then you probably shouldn't assume they are cheating. There are some incredibly good players in the world. Guys that can play absolutely lights out pretty much every round. I've been accused of cheating many times in BF3, and I am not even a good player. I've had good rounds here and there, but my stats are very mediocre and I am far from an experienced PC FPS player and far from having any sort of "natural talent", but even my sorry ass plays good every now and then. 10:1 KD definitely doesn't always mean someone is hacking. In fact, if you go a players account you think is cheating you often times notice that their stats for that game are far from normal for them meaning they are probably just a normal player having a well-deserved good round.

I know what you guys are saying, hacking isn't the only way people play but there are companies making more than just a moderate living off subscribers. I just wish people would take a harder stance on it as it seems to be somewhat accepted so long as you aren't killing people with 40/0 kd constantly. It's almost a live and let live attitude towards it, I struggle with recoil and that's how it should be. Knowing that there are people who will do anything to get just that little edge over others is frustrating. Circumventing a game mechanic in anyway I consider to be cheating.

When we're playing a war simulator game, then we should complain about things that seem unrealistic/out of place. Jump out of a jet/helicopter/any vehicle (without opening the glass or door by the way) and parachute a few feet above the ground, land on a crane, knife a sniper, jump off the crane, and get back into your jet/helicopter? Yea, I don't think anyone should be nitpicking about unrealistic gun handling.

you mean all those action movies aren't based on a true story?

what next the voices in my head arent my dead grandparents??

In my experience, I've only seen less than 5 "hackers." However, I only play on a select few servers and none of them are 64 player 24/7 metro servers. I'd probably see a few more in that case, but still not as much as I've seen in other games. I used to play Combat Arms and there was, with no exaggeration, at least one blatant script kiddie every match. In most cases, 3-4 would join during a match that were OPKing, aimbotting, flying, or speeding.

That was my Experience with MW2. I stopped playing that fairly quickly due to constantly being in a hacker game. With no way to avoid it I uninstalled pretty fast.
Admin controlled servers are the best to play in. Hackers become minor annoyances, or hilarious brief comical episodes before the game continues on.

I started playing bf3 just 2 months ago, and I've already seen more than a dozen OBVIOUS hackers, there is also one time that I've seen 3 hackers in a single match, I still have the battle log link if you want a proof.

270 kills and only 8 deaths in noshahr canals team death match 64 players. Tell me that isn't hacking.
