Samsung 840 or Intel 330 (128GB)

Hy,
It is now time for me to upgrade to a SSD. However, I do not know witch one would best fit my needs.
I want it to be reliable in time as I don't plan to change it for the next 3-4 years.
It will be used for OS and some programs. I store games on the HDD.

Which one would you recomend between the Samsung 840 and Intel 330. both the 128GB version?

Would you say it is worth paying more for the 840 Pro or Vertex 4?

Any help is much appreciated!

I'd get the 840. It's way faster than the 330 series, and Samsung is known for being very reliable.

If you get an 840 128 GB you won't regret it. thumb.gif

I believe they released a firmware update for fixing an issue along those lines. I may be wrong though, if someone thinks otherwise feel free to chime in. smile.gif

I bought 840 pro.But this new Samsung line of SSD is pretty new,only 4 months.We tought that Crucial m4 is solid and stable drive but now after 1 year its forum more and more looks like OCZ forum.So you never know,electronic is not like wood,there is always a risk.But if I risk,this time I risk with Samsung because its last SSD,830 is the most stable SSD.O and about problem with 840 and 840 PRO heaved(ANANDTECH workload test kill both drive),that is fix with new firmware.
Buy 128gb pro version or 250gb basic version.120gb basic version have only 120mb/s write,that is nothing.

I was thinking about that too. I would have to import it, as it is too expensive here in my country.

I didnt see you are from Romania,there are high prices of SSD.If you can get Samsung 830 128gb for nice price,i would not go under that.
