would you recommend sennheiser hs598's? - Page 9

The Fiio E6 will help the dt770s, maybe not to its full potential, but it will help. It's around 30 shipped on Amazon and small enough to not be cumbersome in your pocket.

Also, I read you latest post as well. If you are going to use these headphones with your Ipod on a regular basis, you will need a portable headphone amp for like 40 bucks.

Your ipod amps the headphones, but it does a very poor job, so headphones with lower impedance are going to sound better than ones with higher impedance with the DT770s.

That is why we are all freaking out about headphone amps if you couldn't tell tongue.gif

i wont be using it with my ipod, that was the only way i can try them out, they will be purly desktop phones

also i would just like a few pics, even if it is a prototype, a couple q's about the amp. will it be like a wood or metal one? and when will it be finished, if you can answer those:thumb:

You want a final decision? though you should make the final decision i can tell you under the criteria given, the he-500 plus a hybrid amp will give you the power and warmth you want. the Schiit asgard is solid state and dosnt sound anywhere as warm as a hybrid amp infact for me the asgard makes the he-500 a bit too bright.

ok, so it seems like my leaning towards the tube/hybrid side, want to see the prototype angel has in store from his friend

lol you understand im angels friend right ? he currently has one of my prototype amps which uses 12bh7s and a 5751. that amp is all tube not a hybrid. the hybrid one he is talking about is one of my past designs which he listened to, if you want pictures of the hybrid i will have them up in a bit, again like he said most of the amps i have with me are my personal prototypes i tend not to keep any finished products.

PS: wars with audio stuff allways happen but i just hate it when people fighting are misinformed.
