Overclocking Help ASUS Rampage IV Extreme

Thread Starter
Motherboard: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
RAM: 4x4GB 1333Mhz
Cooler: Corsair H80
GPU: GTX 590 dual-GPU 4GB GDDR5
CPU: i7 3820 @ 3.8GHZ

Can I get a tutorial on how to overclock my system, given the specs above? I've tried to run the Normal Overclocking Profile in the bios, but i get an "overclocking failed" error when i start up.

I just finished building my system and been reading for weeks on over clocking. I'm only getting more confused at this point.. lol

Most of the videos and tutorials that I see with the rampage iv extreme are of an older version. My bios option are similar but also
very different which makes it so that I can't easily follow along.

For instance the old version has presets like Normal, Gamers, and Extreme. Mine has Air Cooled Gamers, Water Cooled Gamers and then 160-190BCLK profiles. When I choose one I don't notice the Turbo Speed at the top of the screen change but yet sometimes it does.

There is also the "CPU Level UP which gives you options from 4.4-4.8 (not sure how that works)

So yea, in a simple world I would like to just grab me a 1.7 pre made profile and be done with it however my 2133 ram only shows up at 1333 and to get it to 2133 I need to change the xmp profile to 1 but then I can't use any of the above presets or it puts my RAM back... lol

If anyone knows of a tutorial using the new version of the bios please share.

Any suggestions?
Bios version 4403
