They are in the leagal clear, yes. But i'm sure that the Brazilian company didn't do much with their "iphone" trademark until apple hit it big with theirs.

The idea might have been there, (allow me to rephrase that as I see what you did there lol) but I was referring to the actual iPhone name, which is likely just a very simple, straight to the point name based off the iPod, which STILL came out after Gradiente trademarked their name wink.gif

Well the earliest "iPhone" trademark I can find for Apple is on 2002 according to this, but it says the source is Wikipedia and there isn't a references link at the bottom of the wikipedia page for it.

http://www.xtimeline.com/evt/view.aspx?id=52334

Still later than the "iPhone" trademark Gradiente Eletronica owns in Brazil.

Well, the technology that was around in 2006-2007 wasn't around in 1985 for some odd reason rolleyes.gif

The point is, it's a phone and it's from Apple.

Saying "loook Apple had a iPhone idea in the 80's" and then showing something that doesn't look or act anything like an iPhone means squat.

What it looks like, to me, is that they had a flip phone idea in the 80's wink.gif

No, it means Steve had the idea for a phone in 1985. Maybe you should read what Stealth Pyros wrote. And I never said "Apple had an idea for the iPhone in the 80s." I said

And I just noticed I typo, it's meant to say "for a phone". A phone, not iPhone
