ZoneAlarm freezing my computer on CS:S?

Thread Starter
When I have ZoneAlarm running and I try to click on 'Internet' or 'LAN' or any tab that has to do with finding servers my computer instantly locks up and I have to turn the power off just to even reboot, and when I disable ZoneAlarm everything works fine. What should I do?

ZA probably locked CS:S down because it was trying to access the internet. Can you alt-tab out or get onto the desktop? Maybe there might be a pop-up verification that tells you whether you want to allow CS:S to access internet or not.

I hate ZA, will never use it. Router gives me all the protection I want. Windows Defender + AVG keeps stuff I don't want on here gone as well.

Nope it completely freezes so that didn't work either.

I like ZA, though I haven't used it for long. It blocks a lot of stuff I never knew existed, and since I don't have windows firewall or a router I'm basically defenseless otherwise, so I need something in the background. It's just it doesn't work if it interferes with games.

Double click on the ZA icon in the tray, go to the program controls and look for counter strike in the list. Make sure that it is allowed access to the trusted zone and the internet. That should do it.

K thanks, I added it so it is trusted for the internet, but wasn't sure what to do with the server part so I just left it with question marks. Hopefully that works.
