What would be the best choise in that price range?

oh god no. 1080p on 27 inch is horribad. just no.

Everyone is getting 2560x1440p monitors from Korea or Microcenter for $400, and those 27inch 1080p monitors are TN crap compared to the IPS 1440p ones.

Please, just get the Auria from Microcenter for $400

or with shipping, $300 for a Catleap or a little bit more for a Crossover 27Q from AccessoriesWhole on Ebay.

Do. NOT. GET. A. 1080p 27 inch. the pixels being that big makes it a TV, not a monitor.

and if you're concerned with gaming performance, YOU don't need AA at 2560x1440 that much at all. It literally anti-aliases itself anyway.
