Need G7 comparable mouse for my laptop

Thread Starter
1. What's your grip style? Palm grip

2. What's your sensitivity? I think my DPI is set to 800. I don't like it so crazy high.

3. What's your maximum budget? Absolute max $60-$70, preferably less.

4. Do you want additional buttons? Require at least 1 button by thumb, prefer forward/back buttons.

5. What games do you play? CS:GO, Chivalry, LoL, SC2

6. Do you mind about prediction? I hadn't heard of it until reading the sticky, so no.

7. Other relevant information:
Input anything else you want.
some examples: LOD, ambidextrous shape, weight, wireless, non-braided cord, glossy finish, button activation force, driverless, onboard memory, etc

I would like it to be wireless and use standard batteries. The reasons for replacing my G7 is (other than needing a mouse on my desktop at all times), the dongle sticks out way too far and the batteries are non-standard and don't last very long. I'm afraid of buying a cheap mouse that would be noticeably worse for gaming, though I'm not sure I'm serious enough about gaming anymore for it to make a difference.

I may be open to the Anywhere Mouse MX if it can be used for some gaming on the go despite it being smaller.

How is the m510? Would I notice a difference in gaming performance?

Thanks.

No brainer: G700

People might think of it as an MMO mouse but IMO its the best mouse Logitech has ever made for all types of games.

My quote from another thread:
Quote:
The four thumb buttons are perfectly designed, they are very easy to use in games you need them and they stay out the way in games that you just want to grip the mouse. The side grip is durable (I prefer their rubberised grip but that probably doesn't last) and is designed to grip even with sweat. The the scroll wheel is probably the best out there, it is metal with small rubber ridges on and the action is a light but satisfying one. Also it has free wheel scrolling and unlike the G9x the button to lock/unlock it's on top right next to the wheel.

The main difference between them shape wise is the height, the G7 shape quite flat on the top where as the G700 arcs higher due to the group of 4 side buttons.

It's only a no-brainer if it fits his budget. I'm seeing it for $80 on Newegg, unless it's cheaper elsewhere.

Please read the requirements before making suggestions

I thought I should point out that the Anywhere Mouse MX is a claw/finger tip style mouse (most small ones are) but otherwise is a good mouse (includes the same scroll wheel as the G700).

I was hoping there were some cheaper alternative to the g700, but it looks like that's what I'll have to go with. Thanks!

I did grapple with the cost initially because I was actually looking for a wired mouse at the time but I bought it in the end and I definitely consider it worth the money.
I hope you do too thumb.gif
