Thread Starter
I'm at it again if you ever saw my 5.2GHz R4E thread. I ended up getting it completely stable at 5.1GHz on water.

Basic hardware list
  • Mobo: ASUS Maximus V Extreme BIOS 1604
  • CPU: i7 3770 batch 3227C383, Costa Rica
  • Memory: Corsair 4x8GB 1866 10-11-10-27 1.5v (CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10)

I only have 2 of the memory slots populated right now as I'm getting a post code of 55 with all of them in. Also anything above 4.6GHz I'm getting BSODs in Windows and it's a ton of fun! I have a few goals:
  • get past 5GHz. This is under uhh, "extreme water". 6 250cfm fans in push pull on a nexxxos monsta 360
  • find the fastest timing memory available. can be 1600mhz for all I care.
  • find the stable sweet spot.

I've read a few guides and have found the differences between socket 2011 and ivy bridge and pretty quickly got up to 4.5GHz. I believe it's the memory limiting me now, but I'm not so sure.
