3 LCD monitors and 2 7900 GTX's

Ok, I followed some guys advice on this forum and did NOT purchase the Matrox triplehead2go. He said, the desktop could be spanned across all three LCD monitors. Well he was right...but I don't think he got the concept.

Let's get the facts straight.

Fact 1) You CAN create a virtual monitior on ONE GPU by spanning the resolution horizontally between the two monitor connectors. Effectively creating a double wide monitor.

Fact 2) You CAN span the WINDOWS desktop across three LCD monitors in any combination in XP.

Fact 3) IN Fact 2, games (DirectX) still only see three monitors and will not span from one to the other two to create a FOV.

Questions:

Should I:

A) Buy the Triplehead2go, because this is BS and there is no other way?

B) I SHOULD buy the Triplehead2go because I need to engage the GPU's in SLI mode anyway.

C) I'm wrong and there is a SPECIAL way to span all three monitors using a neato downloadable crack or fix or patch or something.

Thanks.
