Crysis warhead is pretty old so wont be expecting a res that big but it should still work. When you say you got this idea to do, have you actually set it up? The eyefinity resolution appears as a system res so until its enabled you won't have the option to switch to it in game.

Tf2 works well in eyefinity and is free so try using that to test your setup

You really want all 3 monitors the same though as I'm sure you're aware, not least because it will be disjointed between them! You should be able to get a 19" monitor on eBay quite cheap I'd have thought

one of the main problems you often find is that game developers assume that people run 4:3 or 16:9 screen ratios (true for probably 99% of the market) and scale the menus as a proportion of the width of the screen which often results in menus that are off the screen vertically.

Getting the latest patches for the games can help along with various 3rd part tools such as widescreenfixer (https://www.widescreenfixer.org/) which I found very useful for certain games.

my 19in monitors run at 16:10 ration and that could also be a major factor also currect and nice but it doesnt have the crysis warhead plug in with it blah but there is a few games on there that i do have that would get fixed with the wide screen fixer thanks bro

oh yeah.. and 16:10 aspect! my point was though that 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 are all similar enough that the scaling technique works fine for them. when you get to ultra wide 48:9 though, it doesn't quite work as well!

so the best way to go is 1920x1080 for each screen to get a good res to play games or no

not sure what you mean by expanded mode?

yeah, 1080p monitors are probably best for eyefinity. Personally though, I ditched my 3x 24" 1080p monitors for a single 27" 1440p and much prefer it. If you only really game on your setup then your monitors in portrait is a much better configuration as you can scale back the resolution much more effectively... say you have 3x 1080p in portrait, thats 3240 x 1920 resolution... you could half the number of pixels on each side (i.e. 1/4 the total pixels) and still end up with a usable resolution of 1620 x 960. Do the same in typical landscape and that's 5760 x 1080 but you end up with 2880 x 540 res which is pretty useless!

much less than 1000 vertical pixels and you have difficulty fitting in menus, taskbar, HUDs etc. running a monitor non-native leads to poor image quality
