Galaxy Note 2 Mobile Hot Spot

Thread Starter
I have a verizon galaxy note 2 and use it as a hotspot from time to time. The range on the hotspot seems to be not that far. Are there any device or ways to increase the hotspot range? What are some equipment that I can setup to increase the hotspot range of my cellular phone without having to move my phone around with my laptop?

Thanks~

if you only use the hotspot feature while you are at home, you could use an range extender to increase it range so that within the house, you could keep your phone in your living room and do some work on you laptop within any part of the house. (provided, even the range extender can help with the coverage). I have a Sitecom, but there are others from linksys as well

any wireless router in bridge mode should do as a range extender for the hotspot...  making sure you dont have a case on the phone can help increase range too...

Thank you thank you~

Anyone have a recommendation from personal experience on which equipment works sufficiently well?

Any 'G' wireless router will fine... I am partial to Dlink myself... but linksys is always a good alternative in my book. Just check the features and make sure that it has 'wireless bridge' function. The old WRT54g is a great choice too and can be modified for power output and many more functions.
