Hey guys. Im having some trouble with my gpu. Its been in use about a month. I just got a 144hrz monitor yesterday and im getting really bad artifacting in gw2 and bf3.

Ive tried a few different settings between 120/144hrz with v-sync on/off. Im getting around 80-110 fps in both games. But since I got the new monitor (went from 19" 60hrz to 24" 144hrz) both games are using 99% of my gpu. Before gw2 was onky using around 40% of the gpu and bf3 was around 60-70%. Temps have also gone up about 10-12c staying around 72c. Both games are running at the highest settings..but this card is literally a month old.. shouldnt it be able to handle this with ease?

I guess my question is... should I have expected this? Or am I doing something wrong with the settings.. Did i just get a bad card? should I RMA this back and try to get a new one?

It was doing this at stock. I started oc it yesterday just using the game as a stress test. Whats the best program to use for stress testing? I have the latest drivers. Could it be a driver problem? This is my first build so im still learning. I payed alot of money for the card kinda disapointing.

I will suggest you Unigine heaven 4.0 for stress test. I personally uning Unigine heaven 4.0 + Dead Space 3 becouse when you turn off VSync in DS3 you get max FPS that your GPU can provide and this stress the GPU on 100% , for me this work better then any other test's. As far for the artefacts, try to use some old drivers, like 12.8 or 12.6 they ware stable, and tell us if there's a change.

PS. For the testing i use both in windows mode(non-fullscreen).

The best program would be the Heaven 3.0 or Furmark. Also, you should use either MSI Afterburner, Sapphire Trixx or Asus GPU Tweak for overclocking. Could you post a screenie with the test running with either of the overclocking programmes mentioned above open. Also, what resolution are you running the card at ?

i wouldn't compare it with the latest version as there is a chance that the driver's are not optimized for it, and hence might not give a complete picture. More over, you would have a larger sample to compare your score with the 3.0 than the 4.0

I use MSI Afterburner for oc. Im using 1920x1080. I'll get some screenshots up soon.

What drivers should I use?

For score compearing 3.0 definitely.
For stressing i thing both of them will work, as far as they load your GPU on 100%.
