It offers more and has same 6 phase PWM. Instead of 6 IR3550 mosfets it uses 12 low-RDS, so it's close to UP4 in that aspect.

So unless one needs Thunderbolt, I would suggest UD5H instead.

reath37, I have upgraded from pretty much the same system to my current a year ago smile.gif.

its limited in that it has no POST code, no onboar dbuttons, no vcore read points. For me its annoying beucase the UD3H, UD4H, UD5H UP5 and the UP7 all have them, but the UP4 doesn't lol. It OCes just fine, its just you could have so much more.

Get a UD5H or a UP4 if you want thunderbolt, it is still a very well built board.

Up5 TH is better than those tho, so nice.

Good call on picking up the UP5! Excellent board and I haven't had any issues with it at all. Running BIOS F11 without any problems! Also nice build you have in store. Good luck!

Currently I'm using an AMD 7870 from Sapphire. So far, so good. Had some issues with the Nvidia 560 so I got rid of it. Been using my 7870 ever since and very happy with it!

Dude really!!thumb.gifsmile.gifrolleyes.gif half of what building systems is is what it looks like when done if you prefer baby blue boards
and pink accessory that's fine i don't judge

me i prefer black boards or black boards with very little color:thumb:
