But each time, I spoke with higher level tech support, and in a few cases they implied the replacements were higher quality than the originals (probably tested better -- "it WILL work in your system"). So maybe you should talk to higher level tech at Corsair, as well as insist that Corsair pay for return shipping. BTW that PC10666 memory is probably made from no-name chips.

Most often the product leaves the facility working perfectly, then in packaging and transit the damage occurs. ^^

Well it turns out the module that was originally in slot 4 consistently gets errors in test 6.
So I tried upping the voltage to 1.6V, but that lead to getting about 40 errors in 3 minutes, rather than ~3-6 in the full test...

So, it looks like another case of one faulty stick. Im going to try with the working one in slot 4 to test slot itself.
Ill update when im done.

Thanks for the help so far everyone smile.gif

Well still you rig should boot with ram in any slot and not just slot 2 & 4. I have the same mobo in your sig rig and it doesn't matter which slots I use it boots. I had a Phenom II 970 in there until I got my 8320 from AMD. I used slot 1 & 3 and 2 & 4 before I put in all 4 sticks and it booted.

Yeah, I know it should boot no matter which slot you use smile.gif
I think I just didnt push it down all the way in slot 1 before. But I just tested slot 4 on its own, and there arent any problems with that, which is nice to know tongue.gif
Also, I only use 2 and 4 because the manual recommends them for a dual setup. I dont know why though tongue.gif

2 & 4 is for anything over 1866 with 2 sticks, so they try to stop ppl having problems.

Well, guess I need to request another RMA ¬¬

The last one cost me £8, due to royal mail messing up.
Its just getting ridiculous now
