Prime95 and 4.5Ghz

What do you think ?

3770k 4.5Ghz
1.23V
PLL 1.5V

Rest is Auto

That's prime95 at Blend with half of FFT times, 7.5, instead of 15

This OC was tested in games for months and didn't got problems, i just wanted to say what prime95 has to say about this.

Should i try with lower voltage 1.22 or 1.21 ? Or if i lower the voltage to 1.22/1.21 i will get kinda better temps ?

In Battlefield 3 temps are about 55 celsius in total, and 65 on the hottest core, sometimes.

Lower volts will get you lower temps, but your temps are fine as they are and that's already a really low voltage for that speed. If it is stable I'd just stick with what you have - unless you want to spend a bunch of time testing for marginal changes (you aren't going to get a whole lot lower than that voltage).

Ok thanks. Prime95 confirmed me that the voltage, pll, and frequency are stable. In games, stable too, no crashes, and no WHEA errors in event viewer while testing with Prime95.

Also, i want to ask you. I should use XMP for my memory, or try a manual memory OC ?

With XMP active, sets on 1866mhz, 9-10-9-28 1.5V

If i put the same frequency, voltage and the sam 9-10-9-28 will be the same thing ?

XMP just sets whatever the RAM is rated at, so putting in the same settings manually wouldn't change anything. You can try overclocking the RAM (speed or timings) but there isn't much performance gain there, so it just depends how much you want to mess with it. I did notice that the XMP profile on my RAM was 2T even through the RAM was rated at 1T, so I changed that manually on my board. I don't know that it made any performance difference, but it was an easy change.

Ok, then i will use XMP, it's just a simple button to Enable, manual OC will take me into timings config, frequency and voltage to set.

Also, i notice when i enable XMP, the voltage for my RAM sets to 1.51v, instead of 1.5V as on the box info. i guess isn't a big deal....

Just below the ram voltage setting, says 1.51V (in the greyed letters) and when i enter the pc health section in my bios (where when you see your voltages) says 1.5V

So i dunno what is true. Also happens the same with vcore, below the vcore setting in bios says a rather high number than the selected vcore ex: i select 1.22, and below says 1.226, or even 1.23
And on pc health status in the bios says the correct voltage i just entered.

In windows is the same, displays the correct voltage, only it's a little vdrooped cuz of the mobo native vdroop feature.

Yeah, those little discrepancies pop up in the BIOS sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it - just a little variance in the voltage control or a rounding issue.
