Is my 680 really DEAD?

hello

 

my gigabyte 680oc was running stockspeeds 3dmark011

and at 2nd test my pc restarts and no vga

the voltage was unlocked to 1.2v 

the fans are spinning but no signal givven, i can spot no signs of melting or other damage  card looks like new

i fear it cant be something else then dead. can it?

What have you tried so far to fix the issue? Try clearing mobo cmos and reseating the card if you haven't already done so.

Doubt it can be the card, have you tried testing in on another system? You can also attempt to reset everything, and disconnect everything from the PC, also make sure the connectors are clean of dust, then try again.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

i have tested is in my old rig that stiill runs every day with onboard vga..

and also no signal :(:(

For curiosity sake did they say what they fixed? Certainly over-voltage can easily damage an IC, leaving no signs at all of damage. Hence why static is something to avoid when handling boards.
