I could be wrong, so don't take my word for it, but I believe that PTNuke(-Cu; the regular kind) is NOT GOOD to run with Mayhem's, while the PTNuke-PHN ("PH-Neutral") SHOULD BE OKAY.... It shouldn't really matter, though, as the stuff he makes is pretty much "all-inclusive".

Another benefit of the concentrate is that it requires much less to achieve the color you want than any premix, and one bottle of concentrate will last multiple drains/fills, while Pre-Mixed stuff will last exactly one time. If you are diligent about loop maintenance, say 3-4x per year, that is saving you $15-25 x 3-4, so anywhere from $45-100 a year in dye cost!
thank you for the help man smile.gif

While this will be my first kit, flushing the radiator, soaking the cpu block/hoses will be a fun first run, then cleaning everything with distilled water to then set up the loop and do leak test

this will be a big accomplishment andi m not even thinking about how to drain / refill after a few months!!! smile.gif

If I can offer some advice from someone else who is fairly new to watercooling. I didn't think about draining and filling with my first rig and ended up regretting it. Not to say that you need to install drains and fill lines, but when you lay out your loop you should ask yoursef "how am I going to fill and drain this thing". tongue.gif

ty very much, im still researching if the primochill coolant will affect my loop

i notice all mayhems arent fit for primochill tubing and obviously im assuming primochill dye is ok for primochill tubes smile.gif

Stay away from primochill coolant. It gunks blocks and stains tubes from what I've seen.

You can use the dyes as far as I know, but any dye will stain those tubes

is it really "bad" to use premade coolants and ones with colors at that?

i hear about people complaining distilled water makes noise on their pumps and i just want to know if this is a fact or just a once in a while situation

im going to spend $300 on water cooling kit+tubes+fans+controllers and i dont want to use water if its going to be an issue

All liquids will be noisy while there's air in the system, Distilled water is fine that most water coolers are using it.

i've been using automotive coolant for over 5 years and never had an issue.

The xspc coolant should be ok.

im getting scared by everyone elses comments on dyes and coolants "dyes stain tubes and gunk blocks" "coolants are bad avoid them"

i just want to have some GREEN fluid in my clear tubes frown.gif
but honestly if its going to affect my blocks/tubes ill keep white water in my clear tubes and maybe one day ill upgrade tubing or something?

would you say its safer for primochill UV dye on my distilled water (literally 1 eyedrop or enough to change the color) or just get the green coolant and call it a day?

Mayhem's dyes are very good, and many of the dyes won't stain much (apart from uv pink), so there isn't much to worry about when using those dyes. The issue is one of tubing. Many types of tubing as of yet have had issues with plasticizer, including primochill pro lrt, and are the main cause for concern. Durelene is one example of good tubing for cheap and primochill's new advanced lrt has shown good results so far.
