1) that is very well possible. High-end air can indeed get better results that entry level water. However, do check how you mounted that block and esp. if you didn't use too much thermal paste.

2) I did... vdimm up a notch, and overvolting the northbridge a bit also to keep things stable.

However, I would settle for 3.5 likely until you solve the temperature problems.

So I am assuming HIGH END water is better then HIGH END air. However, everyone tells me I should be looking at piecing the components together and I notice one item that always comes up. Swiftec pumps!!!! I need to do some more research on this.

I don't know much about water (start a thread in the water cooling section), but I do know that bigger tubes is better Thus, half inch tubing is better than the narrower stuff, since it allows for a faster flow of the cooling liquid. Also, it's the radiator that plays a key role in the success of the cooling.. And then again, yes, the whole system matters

yes a high end water cooling is ALOT better then the thernaltake kit. Actually it has been shown that a good air cooler will out perform a thermaltake kit.
