I like the controller. I don't think there's a point in having a speaker on the controller, though. A mic would be a much better implementation (maybe that's what it is). That way, people can actually wear good headphones (HD800
) without worrying about a mic.
Hopefully, they'll put a touchpad behind the controller, like in the Vita. I don't think that is a touchpad on the front. It looks more like a little lcd screen or something. Holding my PS3 controller right now, it does feel a bit skinny, and I have average sized hands, so a bulkier version would be nice. Hopefully, they put on concave triggers for the L2 and R2 buttons. Maybe that small button on the top left is to turn on/off the PS Move light, or maybe it does something with the screen up front (assuming that it is a screen).
I would think twice about throwing this controller. Yeah, it looks pretty durable, but it'll probably cost a $100 to purchase a new one.
