Well that settles it I suppose. I'll go with the Sapphire 7950. I think the extra GB of memory will serve me well, and that cooler is nice too!

yeah the sapphire is a very good card. good luck. post your OC clocks, voltage, temps and perf benchmarks in the HD 7900 users thread. thumb.gif

Hmm not bad for the OC. I think this is definitely the one i'm going to pick up.

You can't beat the two free games that come with it too.

Wow. That's from a guy with a 670.
But that's the winning argument.

If you have $300 why not get a 670 as opposed to 660ti? Big performance increase. I would either get a 7950 or a 670, personally I would go with the 670 because it generally performs better in games like Crysis and BF3 and those are the types of games I play.

That's true the performance in those games will be better, but as was stated earlier, the 7950 is more 'future proof' with the extra GB of memory. But you are right, I should consider the 670 instead of the 660ti.

I'd like to see what kind of hardware those benchmarks are being done on..

those are old drivers. rolleyes.gif after 12.11 beta HD 7950 boost matches GTX 670.

you can see stock and oc performance. also the HD 7970 / HD 7970 OC(1 ghz) is available at the same price as GTX 670 models and competes with GTX 680.

Although that is a very enticing card, it's out of my price range mad.gif

It looks on average though that the 670 is about $60 more than the 7950 though. The 7970 looks to be about $60 more on average than the 670.

See how we can keep going up the price chain?

I vote 7950 since you can OC it and it doesn't support Nvidia and their voltage lock.
