3d mark06 score.. low for 7900gt?

Thread Starter
OK i got my new rig couple days ago and its got a evga geforce 7900GT KO oc'ed at 537/1.6. Can't get anymore on stock cooling without getting artifacts. Score is 3670 on 3dmark and not oc'ed its 3500. This doesnt seem like a big difference or score than i hoped it would be. My sandy 3700+ isnt oc'ed yet maybe that would increase score.

A nice OC will definatly help improve those scores, as will volt modding that GT KO of yours! Right now your CPU is limiting your GPU, a massive ammount! Check out these scores for comparison. Here is basically your proc at 2.7, which is an easily attainble oc on air for those CPU's.

Here is the score with a nice volt mod:

Start overclocking the CPU and you will see a huge jump. Also, be sure your memory timings are nice and tight. Sometimes they default to stupidly loose timings!

They seem low. I hit over 11000 with a v-modded 7900gt and an overclocked 4400 X2

What graphical settings are you running through the Nvidia Control Panel?

Oh yeah. Sorry I was talking about 05.

Still might be an idea to check your video settings. Optimizing them can get better results

you should be in the 4500-4670 range. If your cpu is oc to 2.5-2.6ghz and your running dual channel with you gpu core around 520-550 and your memory 740-850 those scores should be obtainable.
