Even if they have the same voltage rating and CAS latency as the 4GB you have, It's just not a good idea, it could cause system instability even when everything is at stock clocks. 8GB seems to be ideal, since the most usage I ever see is approx. 4GB. I have run 16GB in my current machine, but I feel like I'm wasting power since usage never goes above 25-30% with all 16GB. That's with a game running, and tons of other crap too.

My plans for Crysis 3 upgrade:

-Either 7950 or 670
-Watercool my FX4300 and try like hell for over 5ghz. I really want to see if this CPU is going to bottleneck those high end cards. If I have to upgrade to another CPU I may just go Intel finally. BUT I have a feeling that the 4300 will do great. we'll see.

Thanks for that, i was planning on getting the 8GB kit and i will try it first and if i see some instability i will just take the 4GB out so that shouldn't be a problem.

In my opinion, those two upgrades are going to have the most positive impact on performance, and you'll see the most performance gain. RAM doesn't seem to have too much of a positive impact on performance after 4GB (unless you're using an APU,) and since you've already got an SSD, OS performance won't have a negative impact on gaming performance.

Hope this helps!

If i can sell my old CPU and MOBO i will get 3570k with ASRock Z77 Extreme4 but if cant i will just get HD7950 and that should keep me going for another year or so?

Not sure if i want to stick with AMD CPU for much longer, i feel like i need a change!

Any news on the new GTX700?

If you get random BSOD's with everything at stock frequency, the very first troubleshooting step is to take out one of the ram kits.

Will report back once I try it out.

Should I get MSI 7950 or Sapohire 7950 OC

Which one will overclock better?

I've never personally used or owned a Sapphire card, but Sapphire are apparently the largest supplier of ATI/AMD graphics cards in the world, and they've been noted by many consumers and reviewers as one of the tops brands.

What case do you have? If you want to do a full upgrade the best route is to start with a really big case such as the HAF-X , transfer your existing components into it and proceed from there.
