I chose the mono because it can support up to 3lan lines. I need the fastest ram on the block for ram disks (don't say anything about ramdisks I use a lot and you can't convince me in that area. I heard the vectors were the fastest so I'll raid 10 them. Ill add some hdds later when I fill some space. You said the case would work with 4-way sli so can you recommend a case that has just as many features?
What are you going to be rendering in? Unless you need CUDA I would go for quad 7970's..

Listen man... couple things.

1) you are spending too much money for knowing so little about computers. save your money. spend 2k and you wont 'lag' at all on anything. trust me.

2) you need watercooling if you want the maximum performance if decide to waste 6k. you're basically buying a ferrari and using the cheapest gasoline on earth but still considering it fast because its a ferrari. it just does not work like that. it will still run but it won't work to its full potential like you think or want and will ultimately be a waste.

So can you guys send me some lists of builds that will have the same performance or better?

I'm going to bed. I'll send pictures tomorrow of my current build.

Honestly, starting a thread, everyone has questions then you just leave instead of answering. We know NOTHING about what he needs.

What about monitors. keyboard mouse, and speakers?
Dont need the second bluray. Your storage is terribly inefficient.
Get your 1 256GB for games and OS.
Get Caviar black for storage.
You cannot even utilize 4 680s. You can only run 4 monitors. 3 in gaming. I would recommend a large set of IPS monitors
http://www.amazon.com/Nixeus-Resolution-2560x1440-Monitor-NX-VUE27/dp/B008M08SN6
and even with 3 monitors you would max out at ~11 MP. Deeming the 4th card pretty useless
Just get 3 the performance increase on the 4th card is pretty small and it usually just ends up handling physx which a 680 is unnecessary for not to mention even if they split the work the fourth and sometimes the third card would just reduce frame time.

You can assume that 12 GB of VRAM would be enough. Also make sure you have enough airflow for those. The top 2 are going to be very hot. I would mod a 200mm fan Right where they sit If I were you if you got that.

May I also state that SLI and crossfire both have their problems and should be avoided to an extend in high numbers (like 4) because the more cards the more chance for problems.
If you are hell bent on 4 GPUs go for the 690 and just get a pair.

BUT SERIOUSLY:
Your computer is going to put out heat as FUG either way. Watercooling is not as hard as it seems. Also, why go all out this far and not just watercool the damn thing? it seems like a cop out if you are gonna settle for crappy cooling on hardware that is nothing but the best.
GTX waterblocks
Get yourself an EK Supremacy or whatever is top dog now and two of these Thugs
and these Things you even get a discount for buying too many!
Get yourself a pump and some nice fittings fill the thing up (Fill the radiator on its own then tie it in) and you have temps that are unheard of for your setup

Ok... lets forget what anybody said eirlier. Lets start a new thread right here.

Here it goes:

Hey, i got up to $6000 to spend on a REALLY powerful computer. I'm going to be using almost all of the adobe cs6 programs and want to be able to play any game at the highest setting... I don't really care about watercooling mainly because I don't feel like putting it together and can't see dramatic increase... I mean come on, its not like I'm putting a blow torch to it.

I NEED POWER... lets just say I'm going to be rendering projects like the movie transformers where it took them a month to render one frame... OK maybe not that big... but you get the point.

What builds would you recommend?

(Now I'm really going to bed
