hello, my optical drive won't be coming in until after the long weekend (4 business days from today so next Thursday) is there anyway I can install my bios and operating system with a USB?

Do you have anothe rcomputer that you can use to install the operating system to the USB drive with?

That is for windows 8 but will it work for installing the bios? And do you know if I install the bios on the SSD that's going to be used in the computer, if it will work?

Nah you don't need to worry about the BIOS, that resides on your motherboard and comes with it already. BIOS stands for Basic Input Output System and is used by the motherboard to start up the computer and then hand off control to the operating system. The only thing you'll have to worry about down the line is updating if you run into issues that are addressed by the update.

So my advice is this: Read the entire guide by Sean Webster and understand what's going on and what needs to be done. Use a USB drive to install WIndows 8 and if you have any trouble feel free to ask, but reading the guide will help you a lot and a bit of research might help down the line.
