Far Cry 3 running poorly at 900mhz OC - Page 2

Hmm, so I am actually seeing this issue again about 20 hours later. Choppy gameplay and GPU is not being utilized to 99% in Heaven and Far Cry 3.

I will look for a way to manually remove all remnants of drivers and then go with latest beta driver in an attempt to resolve.

If anyone has any input, help is greatly appreciated wink.gifthumb.gif

I tried a clean install of 306.97 as it sounded like someone who had the same issue possibly resolved it with that driver version. Unfortunately, this did not resolve my issue.

Thread for reference: http://www.overclock.net/t/1362143/what-exactly-happened-from-306-97-to-the-310-series-and-up

I am going to try a manual removal of all driver remnants and install the most recent beta later tonight. biggrin.gif

Thanks all!

Hi!

I just wanted to update this post for the sake of completing this topic!

The issue actually is resolved with a reboot. After monitoring GPU stats with Kombustor running; I did notice a huge (-350Mhz) drop in core speed.

I have reverted back to stock speeds on my core clock and I am slowly pushing up. Tonight will tell if the same "choppy" issue is still present.

I will also be reseating the heatplate I have over VRMs and Memory thumb.gif

Thanks guys!
