Are thous your only options? If I where you I look into a Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E (despite its name it does fit AM2-3+ sockets), NZXT HAVIK 140 or even the good old Noctua NH-D14. IMO the Silver Arrow is the best and the extreme version just has massive cooling potential with its higher speed fans.

Not exactly. They are about the same except that the D-14 achieves the same cooling wit much less noise thanks to its slower fans. Also remember that the D-14 is actually the worst out of thous 3 and the Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E extreme is actually ~5ºC cooler then a H100 running its fans @ full 2500rpm.

The sp120 are nice but won't make much of a difference over the stock 2500rpm fans and you mostly gain better acoustic not better performance.

SA SB-E, SA SB-E Extreme, NH-D14, K2 being better than Frio is not saying Frio is no good... just not as good. wink.gif

So changing the fan out to a AP-29 wouldn't help him?
